Record number of NZTech board nominees!

Board nominations have closed and electronic voting is now open with a record number of 21 nominees vying for seven available positions on the NZTech Board.

“This year we have had a fantastic response to our call for nominations, with a record number of nominees! The high calibre of the candidates provides an excellent opportunity for further growth in our already strong team,” says NZTech Board Chair, Mitchell Pham.

“In line with our Board Diversity Policy we are encouraged to see a range of nominees to help us both accelerate our strategies and ensure diverse thinking. Our evolving board composition enables NZTech to support advancement in new areas where our attention, experience and resources can be leveraged to deliver significant impact.”

“It is up to our members to vote for a strong board so we can continue our efforts in building a prosperous New Zealand underpinned by technology. Electronic voting is now open and I strongly encourage our members to consider who they believe will best help NZTech efforts.”

The 2017 Annual General Meeting (AGM) will mark another milestone in the continued growth and strategic relevance of NZTech. With a clear vision for a prosperous New Zealand, underpinned by technology, the NZTech team has been engaged in numerous initiatives. Read an overview of the 2017 work programme here. As a result, both membership and influence has continued to grow.

“Over the past 12 months, NZTech has continued to broaden not only our engagement across the technology sector but also the tech sector’s engagement with other industries. We have seen strong evidence of this with the launch of AI Forum, FinTechNZ and the IoT Alliance. We have also promoted tech to New Zealand through Techweek’17 and ShadowTech Day,” he says.

Electronic voting closes on 7 July. Meet our 2017 board nominees here. Main contacts in NZTech member organisations are eligible to vote. The new Board will be announced at the AGM on Thursday 20 July in Auckland.
